The 20-year-old tried to go incognito as a pal disguised the pop star by holding up a palm tree leaf over his face while at the popular Hollywood hiking trail.
One reason for his sudden shyness may be the blemishes that appeared to line his face.
Justin tried to blend in with his surroundings by having his entire group of muscular friends dressed in similar outfits.
The Baby singer was decked out in a black T-shirt which conveniently exposed his tatted up arms, long black shorts which fell below the knees and a pair of black trainers.
He walked in the center of the group as his friend held the large leaf branch over his face.
Afterwards, Justin continued to keep a low profile by doing some shopping with his head down while pulling his blue baseball cap even further over his eyes.
Joining him for the retail therapy was his co-manager and Kris Jenner's toyboy Corey Gamble.
The pop sensation still managed to promote his latest fitness regimen by sharing a snap to Instagram.
Standing a top of the trail with views of Los Angeles behind him, Justin can be seen holding a bottle of water while a friend stands nearby.
Mocking his pal he shared the the pic with the note: 'Nice Pose Ryan.'
His latest excursion comes on the heels of a few very public outings with modeling It girls and BFFs Hailey Baldwin and Kendall Jenner.
Most recently, the trio were spotted attending the L.A. Clippers basketball game at Staples Center together on Thursday.
However, despite their apparent cosy nature as of late, it has been reported by TMZ they they are all just friends, and that Justin is not dating Hailey OR Kendall.
